Madeline Lewis Top 10 Wedding Venue Picks

Choosing your wedding venue is probably the most important decision you can make.  Not only logistically, but design wise as well.  Your venue must fit your style and theme of your wedding.  Sometimes, the venue makes that decision for you.  If you fall in love with a local barn venue..odds are you will go with a vintage, rustic, country theme.  Likewise, if you pick a beautiful modern hotel ballroom, you're going to stick with an elegant chic wedding.  The two cannot mix...do not plan a shabby chic garden wedding at the statehouse...please.

I did a similar post last year.  I am in love with unique venues that help bring your wedding vision to life,  I understand that simple hotel ball rooms are easy, usually affordable and have a "blank slate", but if you're looking to add a dramatic design factor to your event, look out side the box (or ballroom) and go shopping at one of these fabulous venues!

1. mustard seed gardens

Mustard Seed Gardens is located on the Metsker Plantation just west of Downtown Noblesville. The Metsker name comes from the original owners of the property who built 7 different houses around Noblesville all of which were constructed in the 1890's. Only two houses currently remain, one of them being The Metsker House. The Metsker House features a bridal suite where the bride and groom's family can gather before wedding celebrations begin.

Our unique setting offers a variety of indoor and outdoor catering options. Whether you are planning an extravagant evening, a corporate meeting or a family reunion, we can help ensure your event goes perfectly.

3. Mill Top

The Mill Top Banquet and Conference Center is one of the Indianapolis area’s most unique event venues.

The Model Mill Building, which houses the Mill Top, has a storied history that goes back almost 150 years. Built in 1869, the building was originally used to produce Kismet Flour.

4. Coffee Creek Ridge

Whether you're planning a simple business meeting or a full-scale celebration, our event planners can tailor our services to meet your needs.

6. Indiana State House
The soaring architecture, stained glass dome, and ornate columns and statues also make it a popular location for weddings, and is generally booked over a year in advance. The facility is featured at bridal shows, in local magazines, and at photography studios.
The Atriums, Doric in style, boast marble floors and brass chandeliers surrounded by an ornate balcony. Several hundred people can be accommodated.

7. Traders Point Creamery
Traders Point Creamery is an Organic Dairy Farm and Artisan Creamery. Our exclusive venue is available for hosting private parties; from weddings, receptions, formal dinners, to corporate events. Whether you’re looking for a verdant outside setting, a cozy eclectic inside space, or a large rustic and unique barn, we’ve got a space for you!
